2007 Atlantic Storm Names


The 2007 Atlantic Tropical Storm / Hurricane name list:

  • Tropical Depression Andrea - May
  • Tropical Storm Barry - June 1st.
  • Topical Storm Chantal - July 31st.
  • Hurricane Dean - August 14th. First named hurricane of the season. Dean was a very strong storm (reached Category 5) that came ashore in Mexico twice by crossing the Yucatan.
  • Tropical Storm Erin - August 15th. Made landfall in Texas August 16th.
  • Hurricane Felix - August 31st. Felix holds the record for shortest time for an Atlantic storm to intensify to Category 5 strength, moving from a T.D. to a Cat 5 storm in just 51 hours! Made landfall along the Honduras/Nicaragua border.
  • Tropical Storm Gabrielle - September 7th. Skimmed the Carolinas.
  • Hurricane Humberto - September 12th. Brought lots of rain to Texas and Louisiana.
  • Tropical Storm Ingrid - September 14th. Ingrit was torn apart by strong wind shear before it could threaten land.
  • Tropical Storm Jerry - September 23rd. "Fish storm"
  • Tropical Storm Karen - September 24th.
  • Hurricane Lorenzo - September 27th. Came ashore in Mexico as a category 1 hurricane.
  • Tropical Storm Melissa - September 28th
  • Tropical Storm Noel - October 28th
